Doll Review: Monster High Monster Family Howleen Wolf & Cushion

... Okay so maybe I missed 'tomorrow' a little for this review, but late is better than forgotten! (Tuesday is Errands Day and Wednesday is Both Kids Wednesday, when Mom and I have to watch my extremely strong, active, and dexterous four-foot-tall four-year-old nephew and my incredibly independent, busy, and cat-loving two-year-old niece without the help of anyone who can move particularly quickly. Fun times.)

So, third and final of the replacements Mattel's fantastic customer service sent me, going above and beyond the price point of the Lunchtime Ghouls two-pack is Tween Howleen! Which is very exciting, honestly, she counts as one of the characters I don't have (alongside Zomby Gaga, Treesa Thornwillow, and Ebbie Blue).

Instead of her canonical 14, Monster Family Howleen appears closer to the eleven-to-thirteen range, like Alivia and Kelpie.

Let's go take a closer look at her! )

But how, you ask, does Monster Family Howleen compare to Classic Howleen?

I'm glad you asked! )

But hey, now I've got all three Monster Family Tweens, do I have any learnings on what shoes fit them?

I'm glad you asked that, too! )

Doll Review: Monster High Dance the Fright Away Clawdeen Wolf

A frustrating thing about taking pictures for a review when you have a whole stack of dolls to do?

Not a one of my pics of the intact front of Clawdeen's box turned out. Oh well.

Okay so what we have here is the Welcome To Monster High Dance the Fright Away Clawdeen. I have Deuce-- well, I sold his head, I have the rest of Deuce-- and technically Cleo (kept the body, head's gonna be Dedyet), and Moanica's outfit; finding Clawdeen and Lagoona at TJ Maxx for six bucks each was a lucky find. Now I just need Frankie and Draculaura, who I sorta slept on, and Abbey, who never appeared anywhere.

Doll Review: Monster High Monster Family Clawdeen, Barker, & Weredith 3-Pack

Toys R Us closes on June 29th, and it's the end of an era, here, but at least I got some pretty sweet deals before the end.

So, Monster Family Clawdeen, Barker, and Weredith Wolf, in their bedtime/Dead Tired looks!

I don't know what to say outside the cut right now so let's just jump in.

Doll Review: Boo York Out Of Tombers three-pack

Well, I put a lot of Good Stuff up on eBay and I could justify getting a few secondhand things... and this one was still new in box!

Right? Excuse me while I scream for a while oh my gosh.

I bought it from this eBay seller when I realized I had just enough extra from my own eBay sales to justify the splurge and they only had two left of the Costco exclusive. (Now they only have two left of their combination Costco-and-Wal-Mart exclusives. Even if all you want is the Catty, the six-doll set for $110 is less than half the price of the only other eBay seller peddling Costco Catty, and they're shipping her from Spain.) EDIT: Two of the Out-of-Tombers three-pack back in stock!

I paid $55 for the three-pack.

I can't find the original MSRP, even in Canadian dollars, but the Wal-Mart three-pack (which I got so I could have a matte rat) was $45. Costco's was probably a little cheaper, but I don't think any lower than $30. I'm not saying I got the best possible deal, but... I kind of got the ONLY possible deal and for as bad as I've wanted that stupid Catty, I am not dissatisfied.

Is this three-pack worth it for you? I dunno, come look at the rest of my pictures and see.
